About
She was a scared baby. She went from running from what frightened her, to going over to wreck it, to checking it out, and now most things aren't worth her time. She weighs about 1,000 pounds and goes through a wall, not around it.
There is no lead and no tool. She has to listen, good days and bad, and a bad day gets worked through. She watches her handler's every move and is in tune with his body. When he leans, her whole body moves into position. Where he looks, she takes position the way she would on a cow track, with nothing leading her there. She heels at the trot and matches his speed in both directions, an inch or two off him. She backs thirty feet or more on his signal from a distance and comes to him from forty five to sixty feet. She moves forward, back, and sideways off the angle of his body, and spins on both her forehand and her haunches. The same cues work on the ground and under saddle.
She already works goats from the ground. She is learning how a cow works.
She watches where her handler looks and takes a working position without a lead, and she already moves livestock on her own.
